Section 216 — Veterans' Entitlements Act 1986: Regulations

(1) The Governor-General may make regulations, not inconsistent with this Act, prescribing all matters which are by this Act required or permitted to be prescribed, or which are necessary or convenient to be prescribed for carrying out or giving effect to this Act, and, in particular, for prescribing penalties not exceeding a fine of 5 penalty units for a contravention of the regulations. (2) The regulations may modify the operation of section 18 of the Administrative Review Tribunal Act 2024 (when to apply—general rule) as it applies in relation to a decision made under the regulations.
