Section 56GA — Veterans' Entitlements Act 1986: Date of effect of determination under section 56C—dependent child

If a determination under section 56C is made after a person tells the Department that the person has a child, or an additional child, that is a dependent child, the determination takes effect on the day on which the child is taken to have become a dependent child. Note: The day is determined by reference to the Social Security Act (see subsection 5F(2)).
