Section 5QA — Veterans' Entitlements Act 1986: Pension age for veterans

(1) This section deals with the pension age for veterans. Men (2) A man reaches pension age when he turns 60 years. Women (3) A woman born before 1 July 1940 reaches pension age when she turns 55. (4) A woman born within the period specified in column 2 of an item in the following Table reaches pension age when she turns the age specified in column 3 of that item. Table Column 1 Item no. From 1 January 1951 to 30 June 1952 59 years 9. From 1 July 1952 to 31 December 1953 59 years and 6 months (5) A woman born on or after 1 January 1954 reaches pension age when she turns 60.
