Section 63M — Veterans' Entitlements Act 1986: Making a claim

Text of the provision Official document

(1) To be a proper claim, the claim must be: (a) made in writing; and (b) in accordance with a form approved by the Commission; and (c) accompanied by any evidence available to the claimant that the claimant considers may be relevant to the claim; and (d) lodged at an office of the Department in Australia in accordance with section 5T. (2) A claim lodged in accordance with section 5T is taken to have been made on a day determined under that section.
