Section 72 — Veterans' Entitlements Act 1986: Dual entitlement to pension

(1) Where a member of the Forces or a member of a Peacekeeping Force is also a veteran, the member is not entitled to receive, at the same time: (a) a pension under this Part; and (b) a pension under Part II of this Act; in respect of his or her incapacity from the same injury or disease. (2) Where a member of the Forces or a member of a Peacekeeping Force is also a veteran, a dependant of the member is not entitled to receive, at the same time: (a) a pension under this Part; and (b) a pension under Part II of this Act; in respect of the death of the member.
