13A Appeal against refusal to make interim order or adoption order In any case where a District Court has refused to make an interim order or an adoption order in respect of any child, the person or persons who applied for the order may, within one month after the date of the refusal, appeal to the High Court against the decision; and the High Court may, if it thinks fit, grant the order that is sought. Section 13A was inserted, as from 24 September 1963, by section 5(1) Adoption Amendment Act 1965 (1965 No 32). The words “ District Court ” were substituted, as from 1 April 1980, for the words “ Magistrate's Court ” pursuant to section 18(2) District Courts Amendment Act 1979 (1979 No 125). The words “ High Court ” were substituted, as from 1 April 1980, for the words “ Supreme Court ” pursuant to section 12 Judicature Amendment Act 1979 (1979 No 124).
