128 Prohibition on using dangerous, earthquake-prone, or insanitary building (1) If a territorial authority has put up a hoarding or fence in relation to a building or attached a notice warning people not to approach a building under section 124(1) , no person may— (a) use or occupy the building; or (b) permit another person to use or occupy the building. (2) A person commits an offence if the person fails to comply with this section. (3) A person who commits an offence under this section is liable to a fine not exceeding $200,000 and, in the case of a continuing offence, to a further fine not exceeding $20,000 for every day or part of a day during which the offence has continued.
