21 What happens if regulations specifying that there is only 1 means of complying with building code are made or not made (1) If regulations referred to in section 20 are made, a person who carries out any building work must, in order to comply with the building code, comply with those regulations to the extent that they are relevant to the building work. (2) If the regulations are not made, a person may comply with the building code by any means, including by complying with a compliance document.
