Section 229 — Building Act 2004: Authorisation of enforcement officers

229 Authorisation of enforcement officers (1) A territorial authority— (a) may authorise any of its officers to issue infringement notices under section 372 ; and (b) if it grants an authorisation under paragraph (a) , must supply the enforcement officer with a warrant. (2) The warrant must clearly state the functions and powers that the enforcement officer has been authorised to carry out under this Act. Compare: 1991 No 150 s 77(1), (2)
