Text of the provision Official document
28 Limits on certain powers of building consent authority in cases involving bans under section 26 (1) A building consent authority must not exercise any of the powers specified in subsection (2) if doing so results, or could result, in a person breaching a ban under section 26 . (2) The powers are— (a) to grant a building consent for building work; or (b) to issue a code compliance certificate for building work.
