Section 280 — Building Act 2004: Costs may be recovered from territorial authority

280 Costs may be recovered from territorial authority (1) This section applies to all costs, charges, and expenses incurred by— (a) the Minister for the purposes of section 277 ; or (b) a person appointed under that section in performing any functions or duties, or exercising any powers, of a territorial authority. (2) The costs, charges, and expenses to which this section applies— (a) may be recovered from the territorial authority concerned as a debt due to the Minister; or (b) may be deducted from any money payable to that territorial authority by the Minister.
