Section 424 — Building Act 2004: References to Authority

424 References to Authority (1) Unless the context otherwise requires, every reference to the Authority in any enactment, agreement, deed, instrument, application, notice, or other document in force immediately before the commencement of this section must, on and after that commencement, be read with all necessary modifications as a reference to the chief executive. (2) To avoid doubt, on and after the commencement of this section,— (a) a reference to the Authority in the Building Act 1991 must be read as a reference to the chief executive; and (b) the Building Act 1991 must be read with all necessary modifications to enable the chief executive to perform the functions and duties, and exercise the powers, of the Authority until the repeal of that Act under section 415 .
