Section Sch3-1 — Building Act 2004: Method of appointment

1 Method of appointment (1) The Governor-General appoints a member by sending written notice to the member (with a copy to the Board). (2) The notice of appointment must— (a) state the date on which the appointment takes effect; and (b) be given only after the person to be appointed has— (i) consented in writing to being a member; and (ii) certified in writing that he or she is not disqualified from being a member; and (iii) disclosed to the Minister all interests that the person would, if he or she were a member, have to disclose under clauses 15 to 18 at the time of the certificate.
