Section 160 — Care of Children Act 2004: Existing proceedings under 1968 Act

160 Existing proceedings under 1968 Act (1) This section applies to proceedings under the Guardianship Act 1968 (for example, to proceedings under section 12 of the Guardianship Amendment Act 1991)— (a) that were commenced before the date on which this Act comes into force; and (b) that are not withdrawn or finally determined by the date on which this Act comes into force. (2) Proceedings to which this section applies continue under this Act (whether the hearing of those proceedings commenced before or after the date on which this Act comes into force) as if those proceedings were commenced under this Act.
