Section 78 — Care of Children Act 2004: Contravening parenting order

78 Contravening parenting order (1) Every person commits an offence and is liable on summary conviction to the penalty stated in subsection (2) who, without reasonable excuse and with intent to prevent a parenting order from being complied with, contravenes, or prevents compliance with, the parenting order. (2) The penalty is imprisonment for a term not exceeding 3 months, or a fine not exceeding $2,500. (3) Nothing in this section limits the power of a Court to punish a person for contempt of Court.
