182 Release of child or young person from psychiatric hospital where detention no longer required Any child or young person who is detained in a psychiatric hospital pursuant to an order made under section 181(1) of this Act may be released, or may be returned to a residence, as the case may require, notwithstanding that the period for which the child or young person was ordered to be detained has not expired, if the Superintendent of that psychiatric hospital certifies in writing that the assessment of the child or young person has been completed or that no further observation of the child or young person is required.
