232 Notice of offence with which child or young person charged to be given to parents or guardians or other persons having care of child or young person (1) Where a child or young person who has been arrested is charged with the commission of an offence, an enforcement officer shall, as soon as practicable, give oral or written notice specifying the nature of the charge to— (a) The child or young person; and (b) A parent or guardian or other person having the care of the child or young person; and (c) The person nominated by the child or young person pursuant to section 231 of this Act. (2) Every such notice shall be given in language that can be understood by all the persons who are required, by subsection (1) of this section, to be given that notice.
