Section 307 — Children, Young Persons, and Their Families Act 1989: Supervision with activity order

307 Supervision with activity order (1) Where a charge against a young person is proved before a Youth Court, the Court may, with the consent of the young person, make an order placing the young person under the supervision of the chief executive or such person or organisation as may be specified in the order for a period not exceeding 3 months, and imposing either or both of the following conditions: (a) That the young person attend and remain at, for such weekday, evening, and weekend hours each week and for such number of months as the Court thinks fit, any specified centre that is approved by the Department, and take part in such activity as may be required by the person in charge of the centre: (b) That the young person undertake any specified programme or activity. (2) Where the Court makes an order under subsection (1) of this section in respect of a young person, it may at the same time make an order under section 283(k) of this Act placing that young person under the supervision of the chief executive or such person or organisation as is specified in the order for such period (not exceeding 3 months) as the Court may specify, and any order so made under that section shall come into force on the expiry of the order made under subsection (1) of this section. (3) Where, in respect of any young person, the Court makes an order under subsection (1) of this section, and, pursuant to subsection (2) of this section, at the same time makes an order under section 283(k) of this Act, both orders shall place the young person under the supervision of the same person or organisation.
