314 Chief executive may release young person from custody before expiry of supervision with residence order Where the Court makes an order under section 311 of this Act placing a young person in the custody of the chief executive, the chief executive shall, when that young person has been in the custody of the chief executive pursuant to that order for a period of 2 months, release the young person from that custody if— (a) The chief executive is satisfied that the young person has not committed any further offence in the period during which the young person has been in the custody of the chief executive; and (b) The young person has not absconded during that period. Section 324 was amended, as from 1 October 1999, by section 13 Department of Child, Youth and Family Services Act 1999 (1999 No 82) by substituting “ chief executive ” for “ Director-General ” .
