Section 365 — Children, Young Persons, and Their Families Act 1989: Chief executive may place children and young persons in residences

365 Chief executive may place children and young persons in residences (1) The chief executive may place any child or young person to whom this section applies (being a child or young person who is in the care or custody or under the guardianship of the chief executive) in a residence established under section 364 of this Act. (2) In exercising the power conferred by subsection (1) of this section, the chief executive shall have regard to the objects and principles of this Act (as set out in sections 4 , 5 , and 6 of this Act) and to the principles set out in section 13 or, as the case may require, section 208 of this Act. Section 365 was amended, as from 1 October 1999, by section 13 Department of Child, Youth and Family Services Act 1999 (1999 No 82) by substituting “ chief executive ” for “ Director-General ” .
