Section 383A — Children, Young Persons, and Their Families Act 1989: Lapse of authority for detention in secure care

383A Lapse of authority for detention in secure care Any authority conferred by or under any of sections 367 to 383 of this Act for the detention of a child or young person in secure care in a residence shall, unless it sooner expires, continue only for so long as the authority to detain that child or young person in that residence continues. Section 383A was inserted, as from 8 January 1995, by section 44 Children, Young Persons, and Their Families Amendment Act 1994 (1994 No 121).
