Section 384 — Children, Young Persons, and Their Families Act 1989: Discipline of children and young persons in residences

384 Discipline of children and young persons in residences The chief executive may, in relation to any child or young person placed in a residence established under section 364 of this Act, use such means to discipline the child or young person as are both— (a) Reasonable; and (b) Within the limits permitted by regulations made under this Act. Compare: 1974 No 72 s 49AA(b); 1983 No 129 s 13 Section 384 was amended, as from 1 October 1999, by section 13 Department of Child, Youth and Family Services Act 1999 (1999 No 82) by substituting “ chief executive ” for “ Director-General ” .
