402 Convener of Iwi Social Service or Cultural Social Service to have power of decision for purposes of this Act Where, pursuant to any provision of this Act, a child or young person is placed in the care or custody or under the guardianship of an Iwi Social Service or a Cultural Social Service, the Convener of that Social Service shall have and may exercise or carry out, on behalf of the Social Service, all rights, powers, and duties in respect of the child or young person that are conferred or imposed on the Social Service by virtue of this Act. Sections 399 to 402 were substituted, as from 8 January 1995, by section 46 Children, Young Persons, and Their Families Amendment Act 1994 (1994 No 121).
