Section 403 — Children, Young Persons, and Their Families Act 1989: Approval of Community Services

403 Approval of Community Services (1) The chief executive may, from time to time, on application by any person, body, or organisation whether incorporated or unincorporated, approve any service as a Community Service for the purposes of this Act, either generally or subject to such limitations as the chief executive may specify. (2) The chief executive may grant an approval under this section subject to such conditions as the chief executive thinks fit. (3) The chief executive shall not approve any service to be a Community Service unless the chief executive is satisfied that the service will provide services designed to further all or any of the objects of this Act (as set out in section 4 of this Act). Section 403 was amended, as from 1 October 1999, by section 13 Department of Child, Youth and Family Services Act 1999 (1999 No 82) by substituting “ chief executive ” for “ Director-General ” .
