437 Notice of proceedings and orders to be given to parents or guardians or other persons having care of child or young person (1) Where any application is made to, or any proceedings are commenced in, any Court under this Act, being an application or proceedings relating to any child or young person, it shall be the duty of the person making the application or commencing the proceedings to give notice of the application or proceedings to a parent or guardian or other person having the care of the child or young person together with a copy of any such application or proceedings. (2) Every notice given under subsection (1) of this section shall specify— (a) The nature of the application or proceedings and any orders sought in sufficient detail to enable that parent or guardian or other person to understand both the nature and implications of the application or proceedings; and (b) The rights or obligations of any parent or guardian or other person to appear at the hearing of the application or proceedings or be represented by a barrister or solicitor. (3) Where any order is made by a Court on any application made or in any proceedings brought under this Act relating to a child or young person, it is the duty of the Registrar of the Court by which the order was made to give notice of the making of the order to a parent or guardian or other person having the care of the child or young person, and also give that parent or guardian or other person a copy of the order. (4) Every notice given under subsection (3) of this section shall specify— (a) The terms of the order made in sufficient detail to enable the parent or guardian or other person to understand both the nature and implications of it; and (b) Any rights of appeal against the order.
