81 Placement of child or young person under order made under section 78 (1) Where, pursuant to an order made under section 78 of this Act, a child or young person is placed in the custody of any person (being the chief executive or an Iwi Social Service or a Cultural Social Service or the Director of a Child and Family Support Service), that order is sufficient authority for that person to place the child or young person— (a) With a member of the child's or young person's family, whanau, or family group: (b) Where the child or young person is placed in the custody of the chief executive, in a residence. (2) Subject to subsection (1) of this section, the person in whose custody a child or young person is so placed may, from time to time, during the currency of the order, change the placement of the child or young person. Compare: 1974 No 72 s 43(8) Sections 81 and 82 were substituted, as from 8 January 1995, by section 11 Children, Young Persons, and Their Families Amendment Act 1994 (1994 No 121). Subsection (1) was amended, as from 1 October 1999, by section 13 Department of Child, Youth and Family Services Act 1999 (1999 No 82) by substituting “ chief executive ” for “ Director-General ” .
