Section 22 — Citizenship Act 1977: Minister may delegate functions and powers to overseas representatives

22 Minister may delegate functions and powers to overseas representatives (1) The Minister may from time to time, by writing under his hand, authorise any New Zealand overseas representative in any country to perform and exercise in that country any of the Minister's functions and powers under this Part of this Act. (2) In the performance or exercise of any such functions or powers, the New Zealand overseas representative shall act in accordance with all directions in that behalf given to him by the Minister, whether generally or in a particular case. (3) Any authority and any directions under this section may be given to a specified person, or to the holder for the time being of a specified office. Compare: 1948 No 15 s 10
