Section 200 — Companies Act 1993: Automatic reappointment

200 Automatic reappointment (1) An auditor of a company, other than an auditor appointed under section 201(1) of this Act, is automatically reappointed at an annual meeting of the company unless— (a) The auditor is not qualified for appointment; or (b) The company passes a resolution at the meeting appointing another person to replace him or her as auditor; or (c) The company passes a resolution under section 196(2) of this Act that no auditor be appointed; or (d) The auditor has given notice to the company that he or she does not wish to be reappointed. (2) An auditor is not automatically reappointed if the person who it is proposed will replace him or her dies, or is, or becomes incapable of, or disqualified from, appointment.
