218 Copies of documents (1) A person may require a copy of, or extract from, a document which is available for inspection by him or her under section 215 or section 216 of this Act to be sent to him or her— (a) Within 5 working days after he or she has made a request in writing for the copy or extract; and (b) If he or she has paid a reasonable copying and administration fee prescribed by the company. (2) If a company fails to provide a copy of, or extract from, a document in accordance with a request under subsection (1) of this section,— (a) The company commits an offence and is liable on conviction to the penalty set out in section 373(1) of this Act; and (b) Every director of the company commits an offence and is liable on conviction to the penalty set out in section 374(1) of this Act.
