244 Liquidator to summon meeting of creditors in other cases Subject to section 245 of this Act, the liquidator of a company who was not, by reason of section 243(8) of this Act, required to call a meeting of creditors of the company must,— (a) If the liquidator is satisfied that the directors who voted in favour of a resolution referred to in that subsection did not have reasonable grounds to believe that the company would, on the appointment of a liquidator under paragraph (a) or paragraph (b) of subsection (2) of section 241 of this Act, be able to pay its debts; or (b) If the liquidator is satisfied that the company is not able to pay its debts,— forthwith call a meeting of the creditors of the company for the purpose specified in paragraph (a) or paragraph (b) of subsection (1) of section 243 of this Act, as the case may be; and the provisions of that section shall apply accordingly with such modifications as may be necessary.
