Section 170 — Crimes Act 1961: Illegal arrest may be evidence of provocation

170 Illegal arrest may be evidence of provocation An illegal arrest shall not necessarily reduce the offence from murder to manslaughter; but if the illegality was known to the offender it may be evidence of provocation. Compare: 1908 No 32 s 185
