261 Counterfeiting public seals Every one is liable to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 10 years who— (a) unlawfully makes or counterfeits— (i) any public seal in use at any time in New Zealand or any other country; or (ii) any seal or stamp used in New Zealand or any other country by any court, local authority, public body, or public officer; or (iii) the impression of any such seal or stamp; or (b) uses any such seal, stamp, or impression, knowing it to be counterfeit.
