314D Offences relating to stopping vehicles under section 314B (1) Every person commits an offence and is liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding $1,000 who, without reasonable excuse,— (a) Fails to stop as soon as is practicable when required to do so by a member of the Police exercising the power conferred by section 314B(1) ; or (b) Fails to comply with a requirement made by a member of the Police under paragraph (a) or paragraph (b) of section 314C(2). (2) Any member of the Police may arrest without warrant any person whom the member of the Police has good cause to suspect has committed an offence against subsection (1) . Sections 314A to 314D and the preceding heading were inserted, as from 1 January 1998, by section 21 Crimes Amendment Act (No 2) 1997 (1997 No 93).
