Section 109 — District Court Act 2016: Equity and good conscience

109 Equity and good conscience In a proceeding in which the amount claimed or the value of the property in issue does not exceed $5,000, the court may— (a) receive any evidence the court thinks fit, even though the evidence may not be admissible under the Evidence Act 2006 ; and (b) determine the proceeding according to equity and good conscience.
