138 Time when enforcement proceedings may commence: general rule (1) Except as provided in section 139 , proceedings to enforce a judgment or an order may not be commenced unless— (a) at least 48 hours have expired after the judgment was entered or the order was made; or (b) a Judge grants leave. (2) However, if a judgment or an order may be appealed against without the leave of the court, a Judge may— (a) order a stay of any proceedings to enforce the judgment or order; or (b) order that an attachment order to enforce the judgment or order not take effect until after the time allowed for giving notice of an appeal has expired.
