Section 166 — District Court Act 2016: Judgment debtor doing community work is discharged on payment

166 Judgment debtor doing community work is discharged on payment (1) If a judgment debtor doing community work under an order made under section 163 pays, or causes to be paid, the amount due in respect of the judgment debt,— (a) the Registrar must notify a probation officer that the payment has been made; and (b) the probation officer, on notification from the Registrar, must notify the judgment debtor that he or she is no longer required to report for community work. (2) Subsection (1)(b) does not apply if there is some other reason for the judgment debtor being required to report for community work. Compare: 1947 No 16 s 84Q
