Section 190 — District Court Act 2016: Issue and execution of order or warrant to detain in prison

190 Issue and execution of order or warrant to detain in prison (1) This section applies when, under this Act or the rules, the court makes an order or issues a warrant for the detention of a person in prison. (2) The order or warrant must be directed to a bailiff or a constable. (3) On the making of the order or the issue of the warrant,— (a) the person to whom it is directed is authorised to detain the person to be detained; and (b) it is the duty of every constable to assist in the detention of that person.
