Section 22 — District Court Act 2016: Other functions of Judges

22 Other functions of Judges A Judge, by virtue of his or her appointment as a Judge,— (a) is also a coroner for New Zealand; and (b) is also a Justice of the Peace for New Zealand; and (c) although sitting alone, has the powers, functions, and discretions that must be exercised by 2 Justices sitting together; and (d) has the power to do alone whatever is authorised by any enactment to be done by 2 Justices together.
