60 Remuneration of Chief Community Magistrate and Community Magistrates (1) The Chief Community Magistrate must be paid, out of public money, without further appropriation than this section,— (a) a salary or a fee, or an allowance, at the rate determined by the Remuneration Authority; and (b) any additional allowances, such as travelling allowances or other incidental or minor allowances, as determined by the Governor-General by Order in Council. (2) Each Community Magistrate must be paid, out of public money, without further appropriation than this section,— (a) a salary, or a fee, or an allowance at the rate determined by the Governor-General by Order in Council; and (b) any additional allowances, such as travelling allowances or other incidental or minor allowances, as determined by the Governor-General by Order in Council. (3) An Order in Council made under subsection (1)(b) or (2) is a legislative instrument, but not a disallowable instrument, for the purposes of the Legislation Act 2012 and must be presented to the House of Representatives under section 41 of that Act.
