Section 99 — District Court Act 2016: Persons jointly liable

99 Persons jointly liable In a claim against 2 or more persons who are jointly liable,— (a) it is sufficient to serve any 1 or more of those persons; and (b) judgment may be obtained, and execution issued, against a person served, whether or not the others who are jointly liable have been served or sued or are within the jurisdiction of the court; and (c) a person against whom judgment is obtained and who has satisfied the amount of the judgment in full or in part may recover contribution from any other person who is jointly liable.
