Section 166 — Employment Relations Act 2000: Membership of Authority

166 Membership of Authority (1) The Authority consists of— (a) 1 member who is to be appointed as the Chief of the Employment Relations Authority: (b) at least 2 other members. (2) For the purposes of any matter within its jurisdiction, the Authority consists of 1 member of the Authority. (3) The Chief of the Authority is responsible for making such arrangements as are practicable to ensure that the members of the Authority discharge their functions— (a) in an orderly and expeditious way; and (b) in a way that meets the object of this Act.
