“ 70 Negotiation of conditions of employment “ (1) The Chief of Defence Force is responsible for negotiating, under the Employment Relations Act 2000, every collective agreement applicable to employees in the Civil Staff. “ (2) The Chief of Defence Force must consult with the State Services Commissioner when negotiating any collective agreements under this section. “ (3) The State Services Commissioner may at any time either before or during the negotiation of such collective agreements indicate to the Chief of Defence Force that the State Services Commissioner wishes to participate with the Chief of Defence Force in negotiating those collective agreements, and the Chief of Defence Force must allow the State Services Commissioner to participate accordingly.
