101B Power to issue deduction notices under Social Security Act 1964 Without limiting section 101 or section 110 (as saved by section 259(1) of the Child Support Act 1991), where any payment under a maintenance order is in arrear and unpaid, the chief executive of the department for the time being responsible for the administration of the Social Security Act 1964 may issue a deduction notice under section 86A of the Social Security Act 1964 to any person (other than the employer of the person against whom the order was made in the capacity of the employer of that person) as if the payment in arrear and unpaid were a debt due to the Crown under that Act. Section 101B was inserted, as from 17 September 1997, by section 2 Family Proceedings Amendment Act 1997 (1997 No 66). See section 259 Child Support Act 1991 (1991 No 142) as to savings in respect of outstanding maintenance liabilities. Section 101B was amended, as from 1 October 1998, by section 11 Employment Services and Income Support (integrated Administration) Act 1998 (1998 No 96) by substituting the words “ chief executive of the department for the time being responsible for the administration of the Social Security Act 1964 ” for the words “ Director-General of Social Welfare ” .
