Section 16 — Family Proceedings Act 1980: Proceedings after mediation conference

16 Proceedings after mediation conference The Family Court Judge who presides over a mediation conference between the parties to an application shall be entitled to hear any subsequent proceedings between those parties under that application unless in all the circumstances he decides, on his own motion or on the application of any party,— (a) That it would be inappropriate for him to do so; or (b) That there is some other sufficient reason for the application to be heard by another Judge.
