Section 56 — Family Proceedings Act 1980: Right of examination

56 Right of examination Where a report on parentage tests is submitted to a Court, the Court may on the application of any party summon as a witness in the proceedings— (a) The person who has compiled the report; and (b) Any other person who has done anything necessary for the carrying out of the parentage tests or for the preparation of the report. Compare: 1968 No 62 s 50(6) Section 56 was amended, as from 1 July 2005, by section 150 Care of Children Act 2004 (2004 No 90) by substituting the word “ parentage ” for the word “ blood ” in both places it occurs.
