Section 58 — Family Proceedings Act 1980: Costs of parentage tests

58 Costs of parentage tests Where costs are incurred in the taking and testing of parentage samples under section 54(1) of this Act, each party shall, unless the Court otherwise directs, be primarily liable to meet his own costs and the costs of any witness called by him; but the costs so incurred shall be costs in the proceedings. The heading to section 58 was amended, as from 1 July 2005, by section 150 Care of Children Act 2004 (2004 No 90) by substituting the word “ parentage ” for the word “ blood ” .
