Section 94 — Family Proceedings Act 1980: Dissolution not to affect maintenance order

94 Dissolution not to affect maintenance order No maintenance order in favour of a husband or wife or a civil union partner shall be deemed to be discharged by reason only of the dissolution of the marriage between the husband and the wife or the dissolution of the civil union between the civil union partners. Compare: 1968 No 62 s 81 The heading to section 94 was amended, as from 26 April 2005, by section 44(2) Civil Union Act 2004 (2004 No 102) by omitting the words “ of marriage ” . Section 94 was amended, as from 26 April 2005, by section 44(2) Civil Union Act 2004 (2004 No 102) by inserting the words “ or a civil union partner ” after the words “ husband or wife ” . Section 94 was amended, as from 26 April 2005, by section 44(2) Civil Union Act 2004 (2004 No 102) by inserting the words “ or the dissolution of the civil union between the civil union partners ” .
