Section 97 — Family Proceedings Act 1980: Security for maintenance

97 Security for maintenance (1) On or at any time after making a maintenance order, a Court may order the person by whom maintenance is payable under the order or the personal representative of that person to give such security as the Court specifies for the payment of any sum that is to be paid pursuant to the maintenance order. (2) The Court may, for the purposes of subsection (1) of this section, direct the Registrar of the Court to settle and approve a proper deed or instrument, to be executed by all the necessary parties.
