Section 171 — Health and Safety at Work Act 2015: Notice of entry

171 Notice of entry (1) If an inspector enters any workplace under this Act and is unable, despite reasonable efforts, to find any person in charge, the inspector must before leaving the workplace leave a written notice stating— (a) the inspector’s identity; and (b) the inspector’s contact information; and (c) the date and time of entry; and (d) the inspector’s reasons for entering. (2) In this section, contact information includes— (a) the name of the inspector; and (b) 1 or more of the following: (i) telephone number: (ii) email address: (iii) physical or postal address.
