Section 179 — Health and Safety at Work Act 2015: Offence to hinder or obstruct inspector

179 Offence to hinder or obstruct inspector (1) A person must not, without reasonable cause, hinder or obstruct an inspector in exercising his or her compliance powers, or cause or attempt to cause any other person to do so. (2) A person who contravenes subsection (1) commits an offence and is liable on conviction,— (a) for an individual, to a fine not exceeding $10,000: (b) for any other person, to a fine not exceeding $50,000.
